FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Hi Everyone! My name is clark, i just purchased a used 2007 FJ cruiser with 100k on it. I have wanted one since they came out but could not afford one. I live in petaluma and look forward to meeting people with other fj's.

Since my vehicle is used (not sure if i can post this in the same discussion) and has 100k, what general maintenance should i be able to do on it? What should i do right away? It looks like nothing much has been done ever except oil and perhaps belts they look pretty good. I appreciate your input

Welcome to the board!  Watch out for that mod bug!

i think its already hit, ive been searching for good quality parts at dirt cheap prices haha. So far havent found anything i really want to get. I've been looking at getting spacers to level the fj and add a little extra lift so i can start making room for larger tires. + a roof rack in the near future.

Welcome bro ...... nice fj. I have my eye on that color
Welcome to the site! Only maintenance you need is to get better suspension and bumpers and skids and sliders and...... Haha just wait until the mod bug hits

Howdy!  Lots of FJs have more than 100,000 on them now, so I'm sure you will find a lot of good into and tips by searching around.

Hey hey, welcome!

Thanks, quick question what oil do you guys use? I've looked at a ton of forums and I've seen generally the same thing across the board amsoil and mobile 1 0w-20 or 0w-30 synthetics.

Has anyone ever used Diesel oil? My last vehicle was a 86 4runner 22re motor and i used diesel oil in it.
