What are your thoughts on this brand OME suspension?

Also what is the difference between both these kits?

versus

Is their anything else that I need to buy or does the kit have everything needed for a lift???

Thanks!!

I run OME on my rig and for how I wheel I like them. The difference in the two are the rear springs. The first kit you will have 895 rear springs and for the second kit you would have 898 rear springs. I run 885 upfront and 895 in the rear. The 895 are medium springs and 898 are heavy I believe. I usually drive around with 200lbs in the back of my rig daily so rides nice but others who run them say without load in the rear, the FJC rides rough.

I have Heavy in front and Med in rear. I also run my tires at 50lbs PSI. I did not put the spacers in front, so I have a slight rake, like stock.

When fully loaded, with 2 5 gallon jugs, large toolbox and gear for a week of camping, the rear is still slightly lower. I would like to put heavies in.

If you do a lot of town driving too, which I do, i like the stiff ride for cornering. Then I air down when offloading and it works out well for me.

haha you beat me to it! i was just about to post the link to toytec.

I had an OME on my old Fj, I loved the ride.  I had 33" tires and didn't nee the BMC.  I think I had the Heavy in the front and Med in the back.  It was  very smooth ride, but didn't look like much of  lift.  I eventually went with the Rough Country 6" lift.

Thanks everyone.  I think I may end up getting this kit once my car sells.  I think I'm going to go with a medium springs all the way around.  I dont see myself adding any serious weight.  I have no plans on adding an aftermarket front nor rear bumper.  As my FJ is my daily driver, and will be used very sparingly for offroad, are the medium springs good?

i have the arb front with medium ome and it rides great and is my DD as well i highly recommend the toytec kit cuz you can pick and choose what you want and it is a lot cheaper

I'm with BnB on the Heavy-Med. If you order from ToyTec you can mix and match. That's my .02

Heavy-Med will be a good option for a daily driver?  I drive 60 miles roundtrip to work.

I prefer a stiff ride. I had a lifted Silverado too. I liked to turn the suspension up when not offroading. They handle better when stiff. Freeway is fine IMO. I drove to Death Vally like that.

Been running OMEs since I got the FJ - Heavies all around. The rear is a little stiff when not towing the trailer, but with the trailer its just about right.

Does this sound like a good deal for a used set?

Front - Ome 885 front springs and top spacer

Rear - Toytech superflex rear springs and pro comp es9000 shocks

I'd only need to buy front shocks to complete it.  He's asking $250
