FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Well it has been way to long since i was able to buy a mod from my list. So today FJ is getting a new magnaflow #11226 muffler.i always wanted the kit from magnaflow but never had the 500 bucks.i figured i really didn't need all new tubing fj already has stainless steel and i doubt i will be able to notice the difference between 2 1/2 and 3" tubing. I will let you guys know if it was worth it.

oh man!  i wanna hear it!  :)

Mark it sounds just likt this video. I think it gives it a little more power but sounds pretty good to me.it is quieter then o thought it would be at idle and anything under 2000RPM.But at 2500 to 3000RPM you can definitely tell the difference. Here is a link of another FJ that has the same magnaflow #11226 and stock tubing.

it sounds a little different in person but its still bad ass!

lol i dont think i can get tired of hearing the flowmaster

Thats sounds really good! I have the flowmaster super 44 series offroad its a little more throtty but basically the same

I want deeper and more throaty! haha where did you get yours done?

my garage lol ordered it from i think 4wheel parts that was a long time ago lol

that sounds sweet you will have to post a video of your fj running it. i used to have a magnaflow... it died :(

I had flowmasters on a 1997 dodge ram and it didnt sound all that great and was gut less.the guy at exhaust shop told me to try magnaflow.i did and it made a huge difference in power and sound.the truck was used when i bought it so who knows how many miles was on the flowmasters.when i first started looking around for a exhaust for my fj i watched video of one and thought it sounded great.but then was reading post about problems and some even posted dyno sheet showing it had less power then stock.don't know i can't see that happening but i had problems in the past with flomasters and positive dealings with magnaflow.maybe i got a dud or it was really damaged on the inside baffle lose.but thats what makes modding your ride fun you can make it different.

totally agree with you I bought my FJ with the magnaflow on it and it was honestly one of the top reasons i bought that FJ over another loved how it sounded and pulled. i was actually sad that the magnaflow died. it got cracked and eventually hung low. the only reason i choose the flowmaster i did  was cuz it was heavy duty diamond plated. enjoy your magnaflow i do miss mine the flowmaster does hold back a bit but is is so stinking deep i love it!

i was wanting to get the american thunder cat back, but I like how this one sounds. does anyone else have a cat back?
