FJ Cruisers of Northern California
Does anyone make rock sliders that also function as a step-up? Most of the ones I see mount so close to the body that they can't be used to step up on.
Wifey's been hassling me about a step-up since I removed my pontoons-and I haven't lifted the FJ yet. TIA for your suggestions.

Hey everyone, and thx much for the feedback, pics and comparisons. All the input is a great help.
As of now, it's between the All-Pro or White-Knuckle, though I like Demello and TG too. The filler plate option with either AP or WK is an extra benefit for what I need, but the White Knuckle comes with a finish option too.....hmmm, decision time :)
I have the demello's and they're a great step up, but I get what you're saying about the sliders being tucked a bit too high for some people. On the blue room, ajstoy had some custom detachable steps fabbed up for his trail gear sliders. They just use tube clamps to attach to the slider and detach when you wanna go offroad. Great for reaching lower than traditional sliders.
These wouldn't be too hard to have a metal shop fab up if you feel you need the extra step.
Those are sweet. I always thought it was possible to do something like this The wife would love the ones with the plate on it.
Just found these off of a link on the blue room. Detachable Steps!
check em out here, under slider steps
$275 is not bad at all. Does that price include powder coating?
I know Jerry and I have wheeled with him. Good guy and is local to the bay.
The only problem with having them stick out so you can use them as a step is that you will get hung up on them alot..
