hilarious. if i knew you had an antenna mount, i would have bought one. I *guarantee*I will take one off your hands when either

bandi rusts out - which appears to be a real problem
I feel like dealing with that tiny, hard-to-get to nut which caused me to say curse words I didn't even know that I knew.

First off, you should leave them on MOST of the time. There is research that strongly suggests they save lives by offering contrast between the vehicle and its background. Why would I want to turn off DRLs?

Save HIDs on freeway with little traffic - DRLs - low likihood of "oncoming" traffic issues that DRLs are designed to avoid
Turn them off when offroading
Turn them off when camping and running the vehicle (say to charge a phone) - to not disturb other campers
Turn off when warming the car, and lights might be pointing at a neighbors' house or down a busy roadway
General stealthiness

Truthfully - the switch is a nice-to-have, and when I read the instructions on how to do it, I thought it was a good project to but my teeth on to learn a small amount about the vehicle's wiring/electrical system.

I leave them on pretty much all the time.

I did the DRL switch awhile back myself. I leave them on whenever I'm on the road.

Being able to turn them off while off-road is the main benefit, you aren't blinding your spotter while on the trail.

Oh OK this sounds good but... are those lights so powerful to blind people during the day? During the night I assume one has the headlights turned on anyway...

at night, at a camp site or when the car is sitting idle, it's a nice-to-have. As I said, it's not critical and am definitely not trying to persuade you to do it.
