FJ Cruisers of Northern California
John over at BoxTec in Alameda has graciously offered to weld BMC's for folks. He says that the 3rd of March (Saturday) is looking like a good day to do it, or possibly a later date.
.
If you'd like to get yours done he asks the following:
Have the cut done and the cap prepared. The cap material should be at least 10 ga (1/8") if not 3/16" steel. There is a template that works pretty well and BZ knows how it works. If anybody still needs the BMC done, you should talk to BZ and have that done before the welding date. If its done right all it takes is a straight piece of flat bar.
Post up your name here and state if you only need the cap welded on, or if you need the BMC and the cap welding.
.
Thanks everyone, and thanks especially to Bozly !!

If you do not plan to run bigger tires there is no need to get a BMC. That would be the only limitation.
So any size taller or wider would require this?
Usually the next step up would be 285 or 255. So in a sense, yes but every tire is slightly different. Some rub more than others.
I got lot of free time on my hands if you want/need to get the chop done, hit me up (ninetwofive) 7zero5-doublezerosixnine
I am over at BOZTEC often working on my FJ which has become quite the project
what would be the suggested (or is) cost to cover the services? not sure yet if i can make the date but running 305's is rubben' like a bee-otch!!
I do believe that IPA and/or BBQ would suffice as payment ;-) but you should check w/ BZ or Bozly to see what works best...
boby chop ??? my god i'm so goofed !! (shoulda been body !!)
don't suppose a forum master could change that for me so i don't have to put up with everyone's boby jokes ;-)
