FJ Cruisers of Northern California
Hey all,
Just thought I'd drop in and say hello. Finally got the FJ I've been wanting for years now. Just got the plates today so I figured I'd take a pic before I put 'em on. I'm out of San Jose and I know I'll be having a ton of questions to ask. Love this thing I tell you! Absolutely love it...and I haven't done anything but put almost a thousand street miles on it. Not sure how to embed so I'll attach a pic. Once again...hello everybody!

Thank you. First thing to do will be swapping out the wheels. Couldn't find one in the area without the same package so...
It's either powder coat these 20% black or MB TKO's that'll be here in March.
Good looking rig you got there. I am out of Livermore, I am sure you are itchin' to get some tracks laid down on the dirt somewhere. When it starts to warm up I will be headed out a lot more. You are always more than welcome to tag along. Welcome to the forum.
Absolutely. I'm pretty much a virgin though. Used to sit along for the ride a lot when I was a kid but for the most part, haven't done anything behind the wheel myself.
Congratulations on your purchase! "To many miles of smiles" <clink>
Thanks! It's funny, a couple of times I've actually found myself smiling while driving this thing. Haven't felt like a kid in a car for almost 20 years now. The Wife calls it The Brick so I'm thinking that's the name that's going to stick.
140,000 + miles into it and mine still makes me smile : )
you and me both, for the first couple of month owning it, I would smile ear to ear walking up to her, I still smile big when she gets me out of sticky trouble, or gets me waves from other FJ owners. Its a really fun filling that doesnt seem to stop.
Howdy!
welcome aboard, RR! you wouldn't happen to commute on 880 do you? i ask only because i saw two exact same models this morning.
I come down either 85 or 87. And maaan, I'd only seen 1 this color on the road the 2 months I was looking around prior to buying. Then after I bought, I've passed one 3 times in the neighborhood and I've seen 3 on the road. Once I get new wheels that should help a little heh Thanks for the welcome
