Found a good use for rock rail today..
It keeps a sedan door from banging the FJ door..
Today when I went to pick up the little one from day care I parked the FJ close to the left side of the line that marked the parking spot so the right side has plenty of space for me to load the infant carrier. dude pulled in next to me and left me with maybe a litle over a foot of space on the passenger side.. (all while I was getting ready to open the door to load the baby.. had to jump back to the sidewalk because he didn't seem to want to wait)... he opened the door and banged the rock rail hard (rock rail won).. I said "you could've parked better" he said "sorry" and walked away with his gym bag....
I guess he is lucky he didn't dent my Demello sliders.. or I will make him pay for a new set.

Hehe, sliders do make great parking lot protection. Serves the idiot right for not giving you a chance to load the little one.

One time I saw a long stripe of red paint along my slider...sliders are great protection against other drivers who dont know how to park

Hah! My favorite feature! Similar thing happened to me except I was just waiting in my car. Guy had no idea I saw the whole thing. He pulled in so close his passenger couldn't get out and banged the door HARD in a rush. They had to get back in and move to park better but when I rolled down my window they saw me and took off. FJ 10 points... Oldsmobile 0...
