NORCAL FJS PLEASE READ - ACTION REQUIRED: Save the trails - Send a letter on bill HR1581
I have just created a letter about: Release Unsuitable Lands Back to Multiple Use-HR1581
I hope you will too. I know you are as busy as I am, but it only took about two minutes using this Save The Trails letter generator.

Bill HR 1581 has been introduced by Rep Kevin McCarthy to release lands being held by BLM that will not be designated as wilderness back to the public for use and recreation.

Savethetrails link was sent to me by a member of another forum and I saw it as a great way for all of us to make ourselves heard. Too many of our trails and forest lands are under threat or are already closed to off road use. Please take the few minutes to use the letter generator to get your message to our legislators.

ok, we don't get a whole lot of opportunities to re-introduce public lands to the public, so this is something i am hoping you will take time out (it literally took less than three minutes) to do. in fact, let's see if NorCal can get 100 members to sign up. that is only 1/5 of our total membership. if we can't get there, then perhaps we deserve fewer trails?
this is truly on the honor system. just post up here that you signed up and i will keep a tally. start pinging folks on your friends list here on NorCal and tell them to sign a letter!

This was easy.. Also, support is very important in this type of legislation. This is an opportunity to have our (the off highway community) voices heard.
Let me be blunt
Get off your ass and spend 5 min to help keep our trails open. Or you can enjoy flexing your Icons (or whatever) in the mall..
Get involved right now or the mall will be the only place to go.

This is a rare occasion where a US Representative has actually presented a bill to re-open lands that BLM has closed. If we don't support this effort then it shows we don't care and no one else will take up our cause.

Wow, thought we'd be closer to Tater's 100 by now. Might have to start checkin out pot holed malls to flex the ICON's. Got the wife to send a letter, and now hitting up the kids & others.
