FJ Cruisers of Northern California
I think it's fair to say that most of us hate piling things on top of other junk we have in our cargo space. After reviewing and getting ideas from other enthusiasts, I decided to take advantage of the rear open space and build my own compartment box. After spending about $70 from Lowes/WalMart and approximately 2 hours of labor, I was able to build my efficient/organized and space-saving box. In the event that I need more space to load a bigger item in the FJ, I can easily remove my DIY compartment box. Please see the pictures I've uploaded for more info. Thanks.

Laying the carpet took most of the time, but you can actually build it faster if you have your dimensions handy when you purchase the board, since Lowes/Home Depot can cut the board for you. You'll definitely can build any project a lot faster if you have a couple of friends to help you out. Drawers are pretty cool, I actually considered copying WESBC's (SoCalFJ site) design at one point, but space and weight prevailed. All things considered, it's up to you how you want to build it.
Nice.. I like the "flip top" instead of the drawers.
For $70.00 thats a great mod.
