Fake Hood Vent light

i've only seen the Knight Rider style strip that NDA has. not sure an LED strip bright enough for off-road use would actually fit in there. if you dug out the "wall" behind the fake grill, there might be space for a single strip, but anything bright enough to illuminate the road ahead of you would probably be too big. if there is something out there, i'd be interested too.

smallest I've come across are the Soundoff Dual LED Ghost Lights

7/8" high

The ghost lights are bright for their size, but there not made to light up a trail. There made for emergency warning. So if your looking for a light that will eluminate the ground in front of you, the ghost lights proabbly aren't your best option.

Thanks for your answers everyone. I think I may just end up putting a side emitting light there cuz that may get some distance compared to the basic strips and get a led light bar to put right on top of the bumper.

If you just want to through some show lights oni, I've seen some FJs on the other "blue" forum do it.  I just checked over there, and they found them on Ebay.  Just go there and search for Knight Rider light and a selection will come up.

i decided that once im done doing some major mods Ill try to put money aside for a LED light bar and, assuming I keep the stock front bumper, cut out a section on the bottom vent area to fit the light in there or just mount one on the roof.
