Has anybody found the rear door stuck shut?

I can hear it lock & unlock. The handle pulls normally, but when you expect to feel the door "click", nothing happens. This is going to make the trip a real PIA if I can't get this working.

Anyone had this happen to them, anyone....

Hmm nope I cannot say that I have... But if you do Sonof40's rear door opening you can then just pop open the glass and then hit the new rod that gets installed to open the door.  Now this will not work if the door is still locked.. So if the not unlocking maybe something became dislodged inside? like maybe a rod dropped off.  If you can get it open swing it back and forth liek a couple of inches snd see if you can hear anything rattling around.

No rattle, nothing.

I need someone small in the back to kick it while I open the door.

It is possible to get the plastic off of the door from the inside with the door shut. At least enough to get to the mechanism to move it by hand. I will be at Boztec Friday if you need help.

Not sure I will contort in tonight and see.

May stop by Johns tomorrow if I just can't figure it out.

Ok, I think we are going to call this one "operator error".

I should be able to get it fixed today.

It has happened to me before.  It included the lever used to manually open the door getting stuck in the up position.  I just went back and forth between locked and unlocked positions with the key, along with locked and unlocked positions with the internal lock/unlock button Red Leader installed for me.  I did nothing else...and it eventually began working fine again.  It took me about 2 days of having to do this routine before it stopped sticking.  Good luck!

Well, I managed to shut the door on the plastic end of a bungie cord..

Fortunately you can see it with the rear window open, so I should be able to pry it out.

Sometimes my genius even amazes me.

I don't have a time frame on going to Boztec so if you're going let me know about when.
I will probably just do this surgery in the driveway. Thanks though.
Have fun you guys!
