In the subaru community we throw up dueces to eachother. It's was just a known way of sayin we rollin in the same community. When I first got my FJC and came across another FJC, I waved and the driver just looked at me like WTF. Since then, other than the norcalfj guys, I don't wave much. My wife thought I was crazy as well, LOL.
