I was in a rush this morning before work to grind a piece of my modified exhaust down to fit the tummy tuck.  It was dark and I only had my sunglasses to use for eye protection.  I took them off because I couldn't see and sure enough a razor sharp piece of steel hit my eye.  I luckily had a mirror near by was able to hold my eye open and pull it out.  I got a slight cut near the inside corner of my eye ball but I was able to get the piece out before it cut me up to bad.

What did I learn?  Wear eye protection.

Holy crap !!! I am glad your okay...
It was just stupid on my part.  As a firefighter and an adult I should have known better.

Glad you got it out. Keep an EYE on it so it doesn't get infected. Sorry, I could not help it.

I have had to go to the emergency room a couple of time for getting saw dust in my eye. it is no fun.

Don't do that!!! Eyes are good to have.
Ok I finally stopped laughing....Peter, ...I mean....I'm glad you're ok...but I mean.....be smarter please.

I even carry a pair in my truck just in case I need them while out.  I cut my cornea years ago and its one of those pains that you do not easily forget.

Glad you were able to get it out.

aye-eye-eye.

My wife was P.O.'d.  You should know better, what about your daughter...

Glad your ok. I have a odd tendency to get stuff in my eye, like fried chicken once. I carry two safety glass in my rig and have on order a military grade goggle/sunglass to wear when I'm outdoor. I can't imagine having something like that in my eye, just thinking bout it makes me shutter.
Wow, that sounds like a serious lack of fun! And to think it hurts when I get an eye lash under my contact lens... Glad you got it out ok.
Glad your okay Pete.

@ghost, fried chicken in your eye? Got to hear that one someday.
