Meet and Greet before SNT?

Sunday 10/24/10 at the Pozo Saloon, about 11am depending on the time to run High Mountain road from Lake Lopez in Arroyo Grande to the Saloon in Pozo.

The idea is for everyone to meet in Arroyo Grande at 9AM and take the back way in to Pozo.

For those travelling north we are going to meet at the Starbucks in Santa Maria, 530 E Beteravia, at 830 AM and caravan to Arroyo Grande.

For those of you coming from the north we will meet you at 0900 at the Shell station, 222 Grand Ave, in Arroyo Grande. Get off the 101 at Grand and the Shell station is on the East side of the freeway. Please be gassed up and ready to go at 0900.

We will head towards Lake Lopez and take high mountain road into Pozo. It is an easy dirt trail that any stock FJ can do. I hope to get to the Pozo Saloon around 11 for lunch and Pozo martinis.

After lunch we are going to the back entrance of the Pine Mountain trail and run it to the steps (a most difficult section) which will be optional. There will be other short or long trails in the area and we can discuss what the group wants to do.

The saloon is a great place for lunch and a meet & greet. There is an easy way back to the 101 through Santa Margarita on a paved road for those that don't want to continue after lunch.

It looks like the 17th is out, several can't make it. We will plan another trip later and make sure the dates will work for you! This one will be on Sunday the 24th. I will add the event info shortly.

Teri and I had a great time on the trail and at Pozo with you all! Great to meet all off you and wheel again with the usual suspects! I have some pics I will get up later this week, remember when you post your pics and video tag them with "stepcal" along with the other tags, Pozo, pine mountain, etc. We want them to show up on the StepCal picture link in our group page.

I will have some extra StepCal trail flags for sale at SnT and a few StepCal patches for Fuzzy Duds. PM if you are interested and we can talk about it. Will try to get some StepCal stickers made up after SnT, working on the art for the stickers when I can.

Hope to see all you nomads on the trail again soon!

Sunday at Pozo was a great time. Thanks for getting this together Dave. It was great meeting all of the FJC wheelers on the central coast. I am ready for another trip!
