FJ Cruisers of Northern California
We went to Pismo Beach and found out that FJ cruisers do fly, but, it may not be the best idea. Check out this link and listen for a very loud crunch when she lands. She is still in San Luis Obispo getting a new rear end. Since we're getting a new rear end, what the heck, she's also getting a new front set of gears too. With 35s she works a bit harder than she should, so we are fitting her with 4:11s. See if you can hear the crunch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hb8YGlHyqfI&feature=youtube_gdat... I'm going back down on Friday and picking up my FJ and then I am heading to Santa Cruz to pick up my Tepui Tent for the top of my FJ. Looking forward to camping with my new toy.

Ouch!
Bummer Dave, but what a great reason to upgrade! See you around town sometime,
Ranger Jim
Hey Jim. Let's get together soon. We can do another dinner and beer if anyone wants to join us.
Wow! That sounded painful but I bet that was kind of fun jumping.
WOW that sounded expensive !
But like Jim said its a good reason to upgrade.
I love a good excuse to up grade :)-
oh yeah, that was all bad dude :(
Looks like you have a lot of extra weight too. What suspension (and spring rate) was that on?
I have a 6" Rough Country lift with Icon shocks in the front and I had new spring made for the rear, that are 20% softer than the RC shocks which are rated at 228#. I have a lot of weight in the rear with the gas cans and the gas rack is really heavy too. I do have a metal box with a full drawer the covers the back floor and is really heavy when filled, but, theres a lot of weight in the front also. Demello bumper, 10k winch, 4gpm H2O pump in the bumper and the high lift all adds up. She rides really nice and is still really fast too. It's all good.
