FJ Cruisers of Northern California
Hey everyone. Finally decided to join the NorCal crew. By the way, whoever designed the decal, nice job!
I just spent my first year out of grad school working hard and neglecting my FJ addiction. I've neglected her so much so that I've found myself looking up FJ45s... Defender HC PUs... I need to get back into my FJ!
I'm in Santa Rosa, anyone now of local trails to play around on? Fireroads? Rock gardens? I've never been to Cow mountain, Boggs(mtn biking only), Hollister... Let me know if anyone is planning a ride. I'd love to tag along and learn some local trails.
Thanks!

Howdy!
welcome! you are definitely closer to Cow Mountain, but call ahead for closures. Hollister is another. also, there are a few trails closer to Eureka i believe...at a minimum, you've got Samoa Dunes for a little (yes, quite small acreage) sand duning.
Welcome, keep and eye on the events and come on out, the more the merrier!
Welcome to the Norcal group.
Thanks for the welcome! Cow, Hollister and Samoa Dunes... I'm ready to ride if any of you guys are headed there anytime soon!
Any other suggestions for local trails, even small runs near santa rosa, ca?
Welcome JRider! If you ever come out to Livermore, be in touch.
I appreciate that and I'll take you up on a trail run. Thanks.
Hidy ho happy cruiser!
I was a new guy here myself not long ago.
Now I've moved up to "that guy". : )
Seriously I've been on several events with Nor Cals and I have always had a great time, met interesting people,
learned a bunch of stuff and had a chance to find a bunch of cool places I would have otherwise ignored.
When the "season" hits it seems like there's always somebody on here planing a trip. And thats beside the regular events ie: All Cal,Slick Rock, High Sierra, Pismo etc.
More wheel'in than I can handle. But then again I'm "that guy".
: D
P.S.
Hope you like Bar B Qued Brotwurst and beer.
I could live off brots and brews... Thanks for the welcome. I look forward to the "season" then!
I live in santa rosa myself! I go up to cow several times a year during the summer and I play around in the 4x4 course a little and i love going down to the creek bed. I went to Surf N Turf '10 in pismo but missed out last year because of work. Hollister is great and definately worth the trek from here. Bz and some other guys have get togethers there often and have even had "newbie" days there. The guys and gals on this site are more than happy to pass down wisedom and experience. If you see an all black (except the roof) FJ with a few stickers and a big CB antenna on the back rollin around in santa rosa, chances are that is me.
