NorCal FJs

FJ Cruisers of Northern California

Greetings! Just coming off my first week with my 2009 Black Diamond FJ... loving it so far. Looking forward to everything FJ.

Incidentally... NO, that is NOT a typo in my last name: FJELSTROM. Appropriate vehicle for me, I think.

Welcome Gustaf.

Keep your eye out for one of the get togethers or trail runs, you can see most of the mods on someone else's rig. We usually get together once a month.

Not sure if you've done any wheeliin' before but I think you'll be impressed by the FJ's capabilities.
Thanks! I'm actually new to wheelin' but what I've seen of the FJ so far totally rocks. No pun intended.
p.s. we are all jealous of your last name. :oP
Welcome! I am in Los Gatos so not too far from you either.

As for roof rack I went with the Baja Rack because it was a bit lower profile than ARB and wind noise is a lot less. I got it from them directly and it showed up the next day.
Welcome to the site..
Oh yeah... forgot to add some details…

I'm a Creative Director by day… I work at an interactive agency in San Jose. By night I'm an artist, musician, photographer, and procrastinator. My wife and I are foster parents to a 16-year old... and we all live with our slightly crazy dog Juno.

I've had it in the back of my mind to get an FJ for my "next car" for quite some time now, but was planning on holding on to my 97 Tacoma until its dying breath. Unfortunately, that breath came two weeks ago when I was rear-ended on the freeway and insurance totaled it out. So... here I am!
Nice, photography is a hobby of mine. It'd be cool to see some of your work. I'm sure you'll be posting more pics of the FJ, lol.
Welcome to the loony bin!

That FJ is WAY too shiny and clean... needs scruffin up! Hope to see you on a trail soon - Ann
Welcome to the site!!! My last car was an 02 tacoma.. I too said I would hold onto it until its dying breath. Then the clutch and trany went all at the same time. So here I am. At least we didnt stray far from the Taco. Were all Taco's at heart. literally same engine. Look forward to wheeling with you in the future.
