Event Description

We are tacking on an extra day this year to allow for more exploration in the area, including Pine Needle Flat and some possible night wheeling. There are many other easy/moderate, scenic trails in the surrounding area as well.

Comment by potatomutato on July 21, 2011 at 1:14am: we usually camp down at Sand Flat 4x4. i'll send out coordinates ahead of time. Esty, your trailer should do fine on the way down the hill to camp. there are some switchbacks you'll have to negotiate, but nothing that bad.

in terms of a trail run schedule, Slick Rock usually takes place on Saturday, but if anyone prefers to do that on Friday (less traffic) and do Deer Valley on Saturday, that's fine too. however, getting back to camp from trail's end on Deer Valley is not that convenient.
