Event Description

ITS ON!!! That’s right everyone we thought it was canceled but, an Email I received today states the fireworks display will be held July 6th so we are doing our annual run from the 5th to the 7th.For the newbie’s This is an awesome trail for your first run with Nor cal. The trail is rated as easy so your stock rigs will make it. For the vets there are the usual hot spots like V-rock, Hollywood hill, poise rock, and now Beer rock. If you want to know how fun it was hit up the guys and gals from the last trip and plan the date...

We will caravan  at 12 noon on Thurday  at the park and ride on 145 and 41. Please let me know if your meeting us so we don’t leave you behind.

List of people meeting at the park and ride Off 41 and 145:

 ::::ATTENTION::::

Everyone attending I need a list of people meeting up with us at noon on Thursday!!!!! As for the weekend Thursday will just be a "set up camp day" and welcome the new comers to our shindig. Friday is up for grabs I'm wanting to hit the lake / creek for a fishing session in the early morning. We may hit some of the alternate trails in the area. Friday night Im going to cook up some tritip for everyone ( if you can bring a side dish it would help) on the smoker then its party time lol. Saturday we will leave camp around 12 noon to head up the trail. We will hit what ever obstacles on the trail you are all wanting to take on. Saturday night we will watch the fireworks over the lake from way atop bald mountain then its a night trip down the trail to camp. This is just an Idea of what the weekend will hold Id like to welcome the new comers that are rsvping  to all of you that need a spotter at any time on this run we are all here to help but I think you will be fine even if this is your first offroad adventure.

Got 2 signs 1 will be on the turn off at rockcreek road the other will be the turn off at the camp grounds (the directions  and maps are in the comments)

hello all! im currently in afghanistan, but ive done this trail literally 3-5 times per year and stock vehicles are ok, some parts are tough but theres always an easier way, and its a blast! get there early for parking on bald Mt. it will be packed like it is every year. and try to locate the guys from NOLB4x4 up there they are an awesome group. good luck yall post pics for me and safe wheeling!

FYI this trail is actually rated (in guides such as Wells) as 'difficult' – but it's on the easy end of difficult and totally doable in a stock 4WD FJ. We had a few stock rigs last year that did just fine. The camping (dry) is in a beautiful area, and the party at the top of the mountain is not to be missed! This is one of the most fun trips I've done so far :)
