Ugg...i hate it when people are ignorant like that...even though synthetic may not have the same force stored up as wire rope....it would still give him blue balls from hell for a few weeks!

We hooked his winch to my bumper. I told the guy that he was in a bad spot, he insisted that his synthetic line would not snap back. After going back and forth on the subject, I just pulled him out very slowly. About 15 years ago I flip an Explorer over on the way the Whistler. The winch line they used to upright the Explorer snapped and went through the tow trucks front and back window almost killing the fast acting tow truck driver. He barely avoided getting decapitated by diving to the ground.

Yeah no doubt, that would literally slice you in half....and it looks more like pulling with the winch line then actually winching.

who's doing the actual winching? not a very smart place to be seated.
