@Robo: Mine are deep enough to require sanding and several times that amount of cash. Ugh. Never mind. That Black Cherry is oh-so-pretty when it isn't all messed up, but I'd rather save some benjamins for tires and more custom design projects (rear bumper!). Hail the FJ Candycane

Not really a fan of mine. $150 and a shop will buff them out for me, but I don't want to be THAT guy! Lol

Miller Jeep / Lockwood Creek in SoCal was brutal on my paint job Memorial Day Weekend.  12 long miles of regular blasts of tight brush and manzanita SCREEEECH (and loose rock and almost [I thought] rolling)!   Recently went back down to SJ to hang out with some people I met in ED4 at their safety clinic last fall... My trail group leader, Tom, came out to check out my rig and said, "Wow, you have a lot of pinstriping," to which I replied, "I don' wanna talk about it!!!"  ;-D  I'll admit, I still hate it.  Sigh.

I'm still loving the feeling of freedom my pinstripes give me. Plus people have stopped asking me, "Do you actually take that thing offroad?".

I just watched this and cringed the whole time.  When I pinstripped my truck the first time I became physically ill at the sight.  A couple weeks went by and I didn't even notice anymore.  Cappy, the FJ, still has none and I really hope I can keep it that way for a little while.

Betty, your good looking Black Cherry would've looked like an old rotted cranberry by the end of that trail. Hitting mine with the buffer tomorrow. Hoping I can heal at least SOME of those wounds.

I wouldnt mind some armor damage to go with it. ;)

I just read about Moab Rim having the potential to throw you and your truck off a cliff to your death? I might skip that one tho.

You enjoy those pinstripes, Aeon.  I much prefer the sound of rocks smashing and scraping my skid plates.  But I agree with you on the freedom thing - after Hollister in January, I knew there was no going back!

... And now I won't care the next time. Freedom.
