Most of those spectators are muy borracho, the drivers hate how close they get.
You don't have to go all the way to Baja to watch a desert race, Barstow, Lucerne Valley, Primm Nv, Vegas. Most are run at night this time of year because it is too hot. But there is nothing else like Baja, the 1000 is in Nov start planning.
Panoche Road is an hour from Hollister, maybe AllCal weekend we can see if there is any interest.

Man I love watching the baja races online I just get stuck and amazed at the vehicles they race with, I want to watch it in person one day and take the fj to baja..:-)

I love to watch the suspensions work on these vehicles. I also can not believe how close to the track people stand, that is crazy.
