FJ Cruisers of Northern California

AS most people out there who know me understand that I am a big advocate of keeping trails open for everyone to enjoy. There are others who disagree with me on this and they try their hardest to get trails closed from everyone. One of the biggest questions I get asked is "what can I do" or "How can I help"? The answer I most often give to people who ask this of me is to get involved. Of course the follow up question to that is" Ok, What do I have to do to get involved, or how can I get involved". Telling people to get involved is a pretty simple answer. Telling people how or what to get involved in is not as simple.

I hope to lay out a good direction for people to follow. Keep your eye on this thread in the next couple of week. I will be posting links full of information about issues that are going on all around us.

One of the easiest ways to get involved is to join a forum or web site. Most sites will have lots of information on trail issues or at the very least some links.

www.pirate4x4.com
www.Iha8mud.com
www.rubicontrail.org
www.delalbright.com/Rubicon/rubicon.htm

All of these have some kin dof trail issue thread. Start going to these sites and see what is going on.Read up on all the legislation being proposed. Did you know they (greenies) are trying to close MOAB??

They have also closed Tellico. This a great trail in North Carolina that has been closed.. YES I SAID CLOSED ..GO here for more info:

A very good one to Join is here :
www.delalbright.com

This website has lots of info about everything going on with trail closings. Del not only covers California Trail issues, but the whole country. There is alot of info on this site, LOTS of info.
SO much in fact I have not yet gone over it all.

Another way to get involved is to join a club in yoru area. There are several different clubs all over Cali and beyond. Many of these clubs are involved in the fight to keep land open and have information or knowlage of specific issues. There are many different clubs to be a part of that do lots of good work out there. Not every club is the right fit for everyone, so I would do some research or ask someone who is a member how a particular club works and what it will take to be a member.

There are also several types of association. Most of these organizations are involved in some way with issues that will affect all of us when it come to keeping trails open. Here are but a few..

http://www.sharetrails.org

All of these are but a few examples of what is going on out there. I will do my best to keep everything up to date and relevant..

Thanks dude !!

I will try to keep everyone informed and up to date..
Nice job Boss! If people don't get involved and let this stuff slide then they'll soon realize that there is no place to go and enjoy.
Very true..

WE will all look kind of silly having built up rigs with no place to play...
