FJ Cruisers of Northern California
Hi guys,
I am looking to put some BFG M/T on, same size 265/70/17 do I need to do a body chop for clearance? If not, what size requires a chop? Thanks

you will be good with the 265 on the stock suspension, you could even bump to a 275 without much issue. you need to start worrying when you get to the 285s, even then you can be fine. also it all depends on the alignment if you change the caster you can push the tire forward to remedy the bmc option until its really necessary
What LumbaJak said. Different set ups react differently, kinda funny that way. Playing with the caster can help... I knew I was going up to a 295 Toyo mud so I did my chop a while in advance... Good tire choice by the way. :)
