5100's with a rear poly spacer.  Is a decent budget lift.
What about compared to a medium OME?
I had a OME lift on my last FJ, it was a good lift kit...but I thought it still looked stock.
I have OME meduim on my rig, I love it. Not too pricey and gives me what I was looking for. I wheel in turtle mode so it suits me. I would say if you don't plan on high speed off road running, you should be fine with either. The OME does help with load. I tend to have alot gear in the back and notice minimal or no sag.
I tell me more about not high speed off roaring? I like to be on lighter trails in second gear.

For looks, spacers are fine, for off road not so fine.

I went OME med., been working for me for 4 years now.

This is only a spacer in the back, not so critical as a spacer in the front.  I agree that the OME is a better choice, but generally is a bit more expensive.

IMO the kit seems odd.

The 5100s are great if you want to level your FJ. That is what I did before deciding to lift mine.

The 5100s are designed to level the front of the FJ w/ the stock rear height. They can go a bit higher than level, but not enough to be level with the rear If you add the spacers. IMO, I think you will end up with a lot of rake.

Buy from a dealer that has a good rep in the FJ world. You will get parts that work, and you'll know what to expect.

I actually want to keep the stock rake, instead of 'leveling' it. I don't want more than stock though..
The billies can go up to 2.5" of lift.  with a 2" rear spacer that would only eliminate .5" of rake.

I say is definately worth it.  the 5100's alone usually go for about $100 each.  if you need more later you can add the toytec coilover kit onto the 5100's for a little over $400 more.

Thanks chkn. I am thinking about going this route. Trying to get them to swap out the 1.5" rear for a 2".
