FJ Cruisers of Northern California
I'm doing my bmc's this Friday, and will need to get them welded up. I have access to an awesome portable Miller MIG welder, but have zero experience welding - only cutting ;-)
The MIG welder belongs to my next door neighbor and he says its cool whenever i need it, but I'd like to give him a little heads up before it happens.
Soo, I'll provide as much IPA / pizza /BBQ /compliments as you need, in exchange for some really good welds.
I'm in Alameda - close to the old navy base.
Deal ?

Oh my goodness - you're my new most favorite person ever!
Name the beer, place, time, coordinates, anything!!
Ok, I'm booked this weekend but we could do some welding at my place in the next weekend or so. The 3rd looks good to me right now but if everything is prep'd and ready maybe we could do one a night after work during the week.
Here is what I ask.
Have the cut done and the cap formed and pretty much ready to weld on. The cut and cap take all the time to do. The cap should be at least 10 ga (1/8") if not 3/16" steel.
I do have a template that works pretty well and BZ knows how it works so maybe anybody who needs a cut you could talk to him and have that part done. If its done right all it takes is a straight piece of flat bar.
Downy, if you would be so kind as to make a list of interested parties and post it up that would be cool. I'll check in when I get back and get everything together.
