FJ Cruisers of Northern California
Hi, I was wondering what could be a better solution for water storage while out on a small expedition. Right now what I do is:
- I freeze some 1gal bottles, the ones that cost about 1$ at the store. I put those in the cooler, to help keep it cold.
- I keep some 1gal bottles behind the driver' seat
While this system kinda works, I end up with several empty bottles, each gallon costs me a dollar, it's not easy to drink out of a 1gal bottle, etc.
There must be some better way to store water on a camping trip!

How much? Mucho?
Solution is to buy a teardrop...19 Gallons of water storage (39 if you won't want to use any for fuel). Water is pumped to you directly via a hand held nozzle, can even set it up to have hot water :-).
These seem wonderful! And quite cheap too :)
Hey with a nickname like yours I can surely learn something :)
That place also has interesting "Duffle[sic]" bags! I might very well place an order there.
Those look like a pretty good solution. Does the rubber inpart any flavor in to the water? Any leakage issues from the valves?
I've used the MSR Dromedary bags for water storage on backpacking trips but these are much cheaper.
