Does anyone know if I can fit some 285/75/17r tires with a 3" pro comp lift? Works out to be 11.2205" wide and 33.8307" high. I have 265/70/17r (10.4331 wide and 31.6063 high) now and they look really small.

Yes!

looks like I may have to install some spacers, I think I will clear the body buy might rub on the UCA. Have you tried this before?

you will most likely need to do a BMC if you rub too much but they will definitely fit

I really hope so. I just order 285/70/17's Nitto Terra Grapplers.  I guess I'll find out later this week.

I think those will fit. The 285/75/17's are 1.1" taller so I'm not 100% sure

you will fit no rubbing on the UCA bmc will help with any body mount rubbing

They should fit. I've got those same tires/size. 2.5" King lift. I do have BMC but I don't think I needed it for those.

Great AT tire choice.

Do you mean the Nitto?  I had those on my F150 and they were great...except in really slushy snow.  Could be the tires were just too big though.  There were 325/65/17's...I've downgraded a bit.

I put 295x70x17 nitto trail grapplers on mine i got a bmc the fit perfectly the spare even fit
and i got 4 1/2 back space on my wheels as well
good luck!!!!!!!!

Thanks Keltic!  I considered 295's but I already have chains that fit the 285's and I didn't want to have to cut the really big ones to fit.  I know the FJ will never need them but if you've ever travelled in Yosemite National Park you know they'll make you put chains on anything and everything.  I keep them in the truck for just those occasions.

Well said, iam new to the 4x4 world putting chains on my rig my be very interesting
Again good luck and please send pics of tires and wheels
