Tioga Road scheduled to open for 2013 season on May 11

As long as there isn't another storm, should be set to open.

Local insider's tip, they usually swing the gates the night before so there isn't a line at the gate.  Shhh, don't put that info on the internet, otherwise NPS will probably change their practice.  ;-)

Much earlier than normal. NPS is usually pushed together it open by Memorial Day weekend.

Last year it was extremely dry, and it opened on May 7th (after being open in Dec/Jan for a while). Snow pack this year is pretty bad too.
