all depends on where you live, luck, and how dark you go.  I tinted my old Titan 30% and got a ticket from CHP within 3 weeks.  My wife drove around her altima for over a year in our area with %30 and didnt get a ticket for it until she got pulled over for something else.   The shop around here charged $90 for front windows.

I have my windows one shade lighter than limo tint... I live in the east bay and have yet to get a ticket (knock on wood).... I have passed many police with them up too... I really think it is because the black paint somewhat makes it blend in. I paid $75. Good luck!

Not sure how much, but mine were tinted when I got it.  Luckily I have not been pulled over once.... yet.  Maybe the White/Black blends in well :-P

Yea I just wanted a light shade tint...I ask my cousin that's a cop and he said as long as you can see a silhouette of yourself is all good.  The shop I went is $125 lifetime warranty and I shopped around.  The quality sounds better.

There is some higher quality tint than the usual stuff.  at %70 is blocks as much UV as %30 of the normal stuff.  I think I will be going with this stuff at like %50.
