THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
* Drinking excessively and driving is strictly prohibited (CA laws on drunk driving apply on the beach)
* ...so is drinking excessively and becoming a liability to the rest of the group
* No shooting firearms
* Watch out for your fellow FJers...everywhere - on the dunes, in town, in the water, etc.
* Newbies on the dunes...be sure you know what you are getting into. Ride jumpseat in a more experienced driver's rig before trying things out on your own!
* Do not speed over uncontrolled, unobserved dunes - know what's on the other side before jumping or speeding over dunes
* Deflating your tires is highly recommended (air stations are available on the beach and at the gas stations in town)
* Dogs must be on a leash at all times - Informative post can be found here on the SoCal FJ Cruiser Forum.
* Please use the restrooms or PETT toilets - digging holes is not an option unless you don't mind your own kid or family member burying themselves in sand and finding a nice surprise.
* Do not litter, bury bottles in the sand or place bottles into the fire
* Abide by the speed limit while driving on the beach - you will be ticketed if you go over it
* Be respectful when playing music loud - not everyone likes your music. No loud, amplified music late at night.
* Do not do anything that will have serious repercussions on the entire group. Remember, you are representing the off-road community.
* Common sense is your friend
* Violating any of these tips could result in partial/full expulsion from all future trail runs and/or major NorCal/SoCal/AllCal events
* Have fun!

Is anyone looking on Craigs list for free firewood to pick up down there?? Just wondering cuz I am not nor will I have any time.. Just wanted to throw that out there..
I have 4 fairly large pieces of wood I've collected when they cut a pine in front of my apartment.
Bobonel and Munkay got a lead from PB last week. I believe they are looking for other firewood ads as well.
left message there.
yes....i have off today and we are going to make calls on the WOOD. angela may have already done so....havent talked to her yet today.
WOOD!!!! i called and heres the scoop:

Shane will deliver a cord of wood (pine) thursday......$125/cord (plus $6 beach entry fee) = $131
If we need more wood all we need to do is call him and he'll deliver more whenever we need it. hes close.
we MIGHT have to do a truck to truck transfer...depends on where we set up/where we need wood dropped. once we get there and do our land grab.....and figure out our dealio......i'll call shane and he'll bring wood.

ONLY THING.....i'll put up the money but i need to make sure that between all of us we chip in.....i cant afford to host the wood. wish i could.....so just promise to throw some $$ my way. :)

over and out! whoooo hooooo.....its almost here.
I'll throw $30 on the wood (ha ha!)
More if needed.
Thank you!
I thought that we were going to find some for free. But this sounds like it will work out well. It will be cheaper than buying boxes from the store.. I am in.. I will help out.. I am still going to bring a bunch of wood in my trailer..

Munkey, does that price include delivery to our camp site or just to the beach and we will have to pick it up and bring it out to our campsite our selves.??? Just curious
I'll throw in for the wood!! Not having to go chase it down and load the trailer will be nice......
free is good! and absolutely no nails please!
I'm cutting 3 plywoods in half today so we are going to end up have 6 and also cutting up the 2x6 of a foot long x 24 piece's..
