THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
* Drinking excessively and driving is strictly prohibited (CA laws on drunk driving apply on the beach)
* ...so is drinking excessively and becoming a liability to the rest of the group
* No shooting firearms
* Watch out for your fellow FJers...everywhere - on the dunes, in town, in the water, etc.
* Newbies on the dunes...be sure you know what you are getting into. Ride jumpseat in a more experienced driver's rig before trying things out on your own!
* Do not speed over uncontrolled, unobserved dunes - know what's on the other side before jumping or speeding over dunes
* Deflating your tires is highly recommended (air stations are available on the beach and at the gas stations in town)
* Dogs must be on a leash at all times - Informative post can be found here on the SoCal FJ Cruiser Forum.
* Please use the restrooms or PETT toilets - digging holes is not an option unless you don't mind your own kid or family member burying themselves in sand and finding a nice surprise.
* Do not litter, bury bottles in the sand or place bottles into the fire
* Abide by the speed limit while driving on the beach - you will be ticketed if you go over it
* Be respectful when playing music loud - not everyone likes your music. No loud, amplified music late at night.
* Do not do anything that will have serious repercussions on the entire group. Remember, you are representing the off-road community.
* Common sense is your friend
* Violating any of these tips could result in partial/full expulsion from all future trail runs and/or major NorCal/SoCal/AllCal events
* Have fun!

There was talk of a group heading out on Thursday evening. I would e willing to head out on Thursday..
Chris, since I plan to go up Thursday too, I know where the set-up point is. I guess you didn't go to Dom's going away either...because it's basically the same area. You drive as far down the sand highway as possible and turn left. Then set up camp maybe a hundred yards or so from the water. I'm pretty sure Mike has been too, so don't worry...we'll get the Norcal/Socal spot going!
What is the timing of the rogue group? am or pm Thursday? Do we need tables and such?
Yes tables will b a good thing to bring.. I will also bring my 10X10 E/Z Up. and a tale..

So tater R U heading out to SnT??? or R U going t Devo??
I mean table. Oh and I cannot leave until after work on Thursday.. I was thinking of leaving later in the evening just to avoid traffic. I will also be bringing my small trailer full of wood and what ever else I can think of.. I also have Caution tape to bring but I do not have any good stakes.. If someone has some re-bar or something like that, about 4 ft long, that would be great to stake off our area
I have lots of metal stakes and something to install them. How many stakes. Firewood I have lots of!

E/Z up? It that going to set up on its side for a wind break? or are you going to hold it done with sand anchors or something?
last night, we talked about how we were going to arrange the kitchen/bar/firepit area. if the Taj Mahal can't make it, we were thinking of grouping up the E/Z Ups and anchoring them with sand buckets. we could replicate what the SnT folks did with their set-up where they were handing out the hoodie/t-shirt orders.
X2 buckets full oh sand.. I was going to get some from home depot..
yeah, don't forget the sand, lol...
LMAO ... good one.
A trailer full of buckets of sand will ride down much smoother than a load of wood, won't bounce around as much.
So wood on top of the buckets of sand is better? A smooooooth ride is important.
