FJ Cruisers of Northern California

My stock tuner is not tuning stations above 95.1 FM. It will scan up to 95.1 but then drops back to the bottom of the band and starts over.

I have presets above 95.1 and I can tune them in, but when I try to tune away from that station it jumps back to the low part of the band.

Has anyone else experienced this?

If Its an FJammer I had a problem with it when the truck was new. IT would only turn on and then not show a display.. Not the same problem but we just sent the truck to the Stealership and the replaced it cuz it was like 3 months old..

Where does it start at the bottom of the band? If it starts around 76, then it' may be set for the Japanese bandplan, which runs from 76-90.

If you haven't tried a hard reboot (disconnect batteries :-)), it may be worth a shot. Thats the first thing i would do anyways.
I second Estys method. I have had this problem more than once, after a 15 min battery disconnect it seemed to "re set".
Thanks Esty, I finally got around to trying the disconnect and it worked.

Thanks for the suggestions, I will try the battery disconnect tomorrow.

If that does not work, I will try the dealer. They replaced this radio a few months ago because the cd player died. Now it is the radio. I am very happy with the FJ, but it is hard to believe they cannot get a radio right.
