Start of Summer Hollister Run?

Hey FJers,

I've been starting to get the itch and summer is coming up quickly. Would anyone want to get a little party going to Hollister soon? For old time's sake, maybe a caravan down there as well?

I'm extremely open to dates other than Memorial Day weekend, so let me know what you guys and gals are thinking.

Are we thinking like an end of may? or into June? If it lands on a weekend where I am not gone I would love to convoy!

I need a Hollister initiation... but I'm just beginning to accumulate body-armour. I don't even have sliders yet! I do have some lift (5100's front, Daystar spacers rear, and 295/70R17 trail-grapplers) ... so I'll need to stick to the relatively easy stuff. If you guys are willing to put up with a n00b, I'd like to tag along. BTW, what do you guys use for intercom? You're not going to make me buy a CB, are you?? Have 2m/440 ham already :)

I'd be in a similar boat as you. I have relatively no armor and a leveling kit. I'll be sticking to lighter stuff since my FJ is my daily haha.

Hollister is pretty much all doable for a stock FJ, minus the rock gardens and a few trails.

I mostly use CB and personal radios. I don't have my HAM license, but a lot of members here do. I'm not sure about wheeling this Saturday, unless you all are interested? Definitely can't do Sunday since that's Mother's Day.

Count me in I will be down to hit up Hollister. How about Saturday May 31st? Need to check and make sure upper ranch is open to public then. *edit* it is

Need to get out there it has been a few months and Since i am not able to make the Molina ghost run today like i wanted to i need to go soon!
