FJ Cruisers of Northern California

I looked under my rig the other day and realised that the skid plate up by the engine is all bent up..... Should I worry about this or is all well?  If it's bad,  is there an aftermarket that I could replace it with.  Check out the pics, one of the bolts literally ripped through the skid.

Mod time is about to start. Contact BZ . You will probably end up buying Budbuilts.
the skid being bent aren't going to hurt anything, if you want to un-bend them.... or aftermarket skids if you are planning to bash them again I can help you figure which skids to get
I don't "plan" on bending mine, but seem to have a magnetic attraction to anything on the trails. Would like your advice on what to get. Would like to keep weight down as much as possible, but want to be able to go anywhere.
Nothing to worry much about.. Looks like you had fun !!!

Time for something thicker under there
time to look for some armor
Those are not bad, you should have seen C4B's stock skids.
I still have the once I took off my rig, I'll show you it if you want...lol those are baby bends. lmao.. I'm on my 3rd stock skids and I still haven't upgraded..LMAO
i still have my stockies and will probably have to put them back on at some point. i'm missing hardware and have a feeling lining them up is going to be a pain.
If your are going to be using your FJ for off-road get use to seeing your skids getting bent. I suggest you go with an after market like the BUD's
Hey bud, i still have my original black stock skids, if you want them i'll give them to you for only 10 bucks.
Those skids look well used...did the job they were asked to do. I've been contemplating a set of skids Bud Build or Man-O Free look to be the beefyest. Rasa and Ricochet are the lightest.

Either way it's $900-$1000 for a full set. The steel ones last longer but weigh down your rig. The light ones are made of 1/4" Aluminum and will fold like the French did in WWII.
