what is this? what does it do? it's hard to tell from your photos?
It is a on board shower, stick the intake hose in a bucket of water or into a steam. the water is pulled by a pump, warmed by a heat exchanger (plumed into the heater hose at the back of the engine compartment) it is a slick set-up! I see Alessio being very popular on the camping trips =)
Yeah Bz (by the way - thank you for the help in the install!!!) explained all the details. I will take more pictures of it in use when I use it. The idea is very simple, a heat exchanger that uses the engine to warm up water.

Now, in the ideal case (I am not sure I will be able to get everything before the trip to High Sierra) I would need:
- a curtain; ideas? I hope it doesn't take much cargo space
- a water container. Ideal would be I think 10-15 gallons with handles for two people to carry it and a wide "intake" to fill quickly in a river or so; Mark told me about such thing while we were drinking beer but I forgot :)
Alessio, great to see you got it installed with help from some members/friends, always a better way to go than paying someone else to do it in my opinion. As far as a curtain goes, your European right ? dont all europeans wear speedos ? just wear your speedos on a small raised redwood platform and you should be good. LOL Check Cabelas for a curtain setup, great addition to your rig, enjoy.

Well I feel like the curtain helps in case it's windy or cold "outside"... honestly I do not use "speedos" but on the other hand in the Death Valley there are a lot of nudists ;)
Ask Vaughn, he was telling me about cheap curtains in walmart...
As of water containers, you can get a soft wall ones so they are easy to store when you are back from the trip (I have seen them in REI).
Yeah but I am not looking for a simple shower curtain more like something with a frame to protect from wind... Annie said she has one I will check how it is.

For the water tank I'd prefer a rigid thing so I can put other stuff on top of it, and not necessarily it has to be used for shower only: when one is in the middle of the Death Valley having 15 gallons of water is useful, cooking drinking etc etc
Alessio
dude walmart has it all water container camp shower/toilet tent and on the cheap as well even a wood platform or you can get one of those at ikea for like$2
love to try it if you get it set up before the trip if not you could park near our site we will have our shower setup there you could run the hose and use our tent for a fee jkjk ( free showers)
