Hi I would like to find a BFGoodrich Rugged Trail T/A 265/75 R16... ideally with about 10-15K miles on it. I have punctured one and it is not fixable. I want to wait a bit more to buy brand new tires... I know cypilk has a tire of the same size for a bargain price, but it's probably a different thread... could I use it? I don't know...

Have you asked Bz ? I think he has one like you need.
Use your spare to replace the punctured one. You can then use anything reasonable as a spare.
I'd like to have one I can use and rotate... anyway yes, I'm trying to find that "reasonable" tire. Used would be best because I plan to change them all anyway.
Well yes and no...
On the street any spare will be fine to get you home or to a shop.
On the trail it is important to have the same tread pattern and/or even wear so that the tires on either side have an equal amount of grip. If you are using your locker and one tire grabs better than the other it can damage the ring and pinion. This why a 5 wheel rotation is necessary with a 4x4.
