Rough roads

Anybody know of some good rough roads in the South Bay? I'm not an experienced off reader and looking for something to start with. I was thinking there might be something in the Santa Cruz mountains (wanted to avoid driving to hollister).

Hello Craig, welcome to the site. If you want to get familiar with your truck off road i would suggest checking out Hollister Hills SVRA. There are lots of trails of various difficulty as well as obstacle courses.

I suggest coming out to a social event, meet some of the Fj community and talk/ask questions and make some wheeling plans with a experienced off-roader, it pays to be patient and get some good coaching. I've been off-roading for quite a few years but even a veteran off-roader needs a spotter to get through technical areas and can always learn a new trick or two.
