FJ Cruisers of Northern California

I have taken some pictures of my completed Roof Top Tent (RTT) system, made in Santa Cruz Ca. The RTT has an annex that comes down on the passenger side, it sleeps 3 on the roof. The annex has a bottom piece that completely seals off the outside world, that will accomidate room enough for extra sleeping. (I don't have it on here). The driver side has an awning with an extention, which is the tent at the end of the awning. On the rig you can see that when it's all packed up, the Extention is loaded on the right side of the roof on brackets that I fabricated. I posted 3 pics here, but, there are quite a bit more on my page. I am working on a lift for the front of the rig to carry a dual sport motorcycle, so when I have my complete system set up, I don't have to up root my system to get a quart of milk at a near by store. Let me know what you think.

Epic!!!!

That is the prettiest tent I have ever seen. Is there a particular brand that you used? Which parts required fabrication? How much would this set me back? Thanks for the post

Ahh OK tepui is the brand?

Which model tepui did you use

I looked at the Tepui and it is on my wish list.  Hope to get one soon.

You are all correct, I forgot to post the name, Tepui. They had a warehouse setting in Santa Cruz, but, now do have a showroom that I haven't seen. As far as the fabrication, goes, I didn't like the way it mounted onto the stock FJ roof rack, so we added another set of mounting rails. Other than that I did make the cradle mounts that the extention sits in. It does strap down rather securely. I did make the air dam also. It opens forward so you can use it to carry supplies and does noticably stop any buffeting from the wind. I kinda like the way it hides my light bar too. This is the Tepui Autana. The Grand Sabana was just too long to mount to the roof of the FJ. The tent was $1325.00, the annex was $150.00 and the awning was $205.00. The extention I don't know the price on, Tepui gave it to me so they can use these pics for advertising :)

Dood let's do my snorkel install that way I can see you rigg in person

I would love to help you with the snorkel install, but, I'm on crutches for at least another month. I actually broke my foot when I was done taking the pics of the tent set up and putting it away. I fell off of a step ladder, talk about lame. If you would like to get together and we can swap notes, we're going to the Lauginitas event on the 15th of this month that Ranger Jim set up.

Dam don't know if I will make it to that gotta work that day

Wow, what a fantastic setup!  Its so compact too!

That is amazing! Nice!

Just wanted to say thanx for all of the positive feedback from everyone. Now all we need to do is get together, swap notes and wheel when the time is right, and my foot allows me.
