FJ Cruisers of Northern California
Hey guys,
I found this nifty snorkel by Riverraider that reminds me of a Hummer like snorkel, kinda cool looking eh? Was wondering if anybody has this, and ive noticed that there is no longer a radio antenna on the FJ, does this pose a problem for signal? Do you need a new antenna, and where would it get placed?
Just a general question, thanks guys!

That $400 price tag is a big one! i much prefer my $175 PRG ebay snorkel but it definitely does look cool!
X2 on what Max said. $400 for plastic...ouch
there is a fairly lengthy thread over in the blue room.
you need to install an aftermarket hidden antenna if you still want to use your radio. I was originally interested in the design but after seeing what it takes to install and the ridiculously high pricing, I will go with the PRG once I finally decide on getting a snorkel.
Im with Max and Black, the PRG is great, and a decent price.

ARB Safari Snorkel has served my buddy well. Have yet to put mine to the test. If you do get a snorkel be sure to plug up the drain holes in your air box, not worth leaving it to chance.
even replace the OEM idler pulleys as they are not sealed.. i learned the hard way and mine are still whining at me and need replacement with sealed ones
