Has anyone noticed that their forward rear link hanger is bent or dimpled by landing on rocks??? Both of mine have been somewhat crushed in so I am in process of re-engineering  the hangers to beef them up.  I could not find any info or after market product so will make them one off.    I will scarf off the oem ones and build up beefier ones.

Yeah I ended up going with the ruffstuff hangers and then beefing them up.
Nice.. I have to get mine installed when I get a chance. The ruffstuff is sooo nice and beefy makes the stock look like piece of paper..lol

Do the ruffstuff hangers replace the hanger or reinforce it?
This looks like a replacement.
Yes it is a replacement. Scarf off the old and weld on the new. I am going a little further adding supports on the up side of the frame.
I'd love to see some step by step pictures of how these end up getting installed. This has definitely been a concern of mine and, as someone else already pointed out, the All Pro skids help but don't beef up the actual hanger. The hanger is the part I worry about. What I'd really love to see is something that was lower profile than the all-pro skid+factory mount that was beefier. It seems that the one constant low point is either the hanger or the lower link itself. It seems that they are always getting in the way of me climbing rocks, or getting smacked as I do climb. My passenger side lower link is what was keeping me from getting the grip I needed to climb some rocks at slickrock a few weeks ago and I ended up bending it to heck. It's now bent back but when that's no longer possible any more, it'd be nice to beef up the whole system and not just put a beefed up link on the same old crappy stock mount.Ray and others, I'd sure love to see the solutions you come up with and some pictures of the process.
As we put these I will try to take photos. I am removing fuel tank to run a support upwards on each side of the frame . Photos to come.
can we do mine next???
I've had plenty of All Poo on my rig, good stuff (sometimes) but bad customer service
I have a lot of AllPro also but I would have to say I have had only good responses from the calls to them. They do need to think out some their ideas and products. Like on the lower links they put a grease zirc at each but when you add the protection piece no hole to access the zirc. I am putting the ruffstuff hangers on next week. Pictures to come.
I have a bit of AllPro on my rig but it came at the right price (Sol's castoffs). I think there are two different and applications for folks here. While I like the Roughstuff link hangers and I might one day move to those. I think that AllPro (like or hate them) has a decent product that hits a majority of folks that are not comfortable in cutting parts off the frame of their FJ's. I figure if I snap off a rear hanger I really fraked up. Since honestly the weakest link back there is the stock Toyota lower links not the hanger its self.

I did noticed that with the protection you can't get to all zerk fittings. In this case I don't think it's entirely AllPro's fault since this is how the Johnny Joint from currie is made and it's a standard off the shelf part fitting. and if they were to custom order and tap it would really add to the already high price of the lower links.

I"m going drill and tap and install new Zerks on the back of my lower links and then drill access holes for the grease gun. I'm only talking the rear of the lower link I can get to the Zerks on the forward
Yeah that is what I did also. I drilled holes to allow the grease gun to reach the zircs.
