Product Report for PLX Device w/Rev, Engine Scan Tool for IPhone or Itouch..
Hey Norcal,
For the past year I've been wanting to get a OBD 2 scan tool to monitor gas usage, and clear engine codes etc for the FJ, and finally I found a hardware that uses a software to monitor the engine and do what the scanguage 2 does and has extra function to the scan tool but the hardware and software only works with IPhone or ITouch . The name of the company is PLX Devices the name of the device that I'm using is PLX Kiwi WiFi and it works with the software called REV by DevToaster , yes it uses a WiFi connection to the IPhone or ITouch. I have installed it and tested it and it works wonders, today I tested the AIR INTAKE TEMP and I was amaze to what the AIR INTAKE TEMP I was getting and it was 69.8 on the freeway and on the street it's about 90 to 100+. There will be a new version coming out and it has more functions thats been added like wheel horsepower/torque pretty much a dyno on hand and in your rig and all real time info from your ECU. do you have an IPhone? If so all you will have to do is purchase the hardware from PLX Device the link is up top the prices are all on the website and the app is available at the app store on your IPhone, or Itunes.
