ployperformance co2 tank kit
Thinking about picking up a co2 tank from ployperformance. Would like user input and recommendations on tank size. I like to carry light loads when on the trails. Thinking about the 5lbs tank. My tire size r 32 and I air down to 15 psi. How many tires can I fill up with a 5lbs tank?

Based on the power tank chart you will probably only get 14 tires out of a 5lbs assuming you are going to 32.

I have a 10 lbs tank and I love it.. I honestly have not counted how many times I fill up my tires, but a 5 lbs would give you less for sure. I wold guess that I can fill up my tires (15 lbs to 40) approx 15-20 times all four ties. I love the speed at which I can fill up my tires. I can have all four filled up in less than 5 min.

Brigham, I'll add my .02 to this, you need to also think of that situation where power tools may need to be used, a bigger tank will allow you to run a air wrench or other air powered tool. I've used my tank several times to run my air-ratchet, blow out air filters after going on runs w/ BZ, bike tires while camping etc.... Heres some pics of my setup I put together at a local welding supply shop.

good advice. i think Powertank recommends a 15lb. minimum in order to effectively operate air tools.

So how how much did your welding supply shop set up cost? I've been considering this but have not done the research yet.

It's been awhile but the low $200's is sticking in my head. A tank usually costs me around $25 to fill or swap. I also cannibalized my old diving B.C for a non-rolling brace and carry handle, it works pretty slick.

Also TRD Parts for U Have the same set up I got (the sorce) on their sight for a very good price. It comes with Tank, Hose, non-adj reg, and mount, All for $180.00..Would be nice to have an adjustable regulator, but thats a damn low price..

I take easy-moderate trails, nothing to extreme that would require the need of air tools yet. Your inputs are well thought, I’ll keep it in mind on my purchase. Airing up has been a PITA when ur in the foothill same goes to finding the nearest air source.
Any field review on the brand itself "Ployperformance." Powertank seems to be the tank of choice & good CO2 regulator that doesn’t freeze up, however that $350-$400 investment. Would like to get an insight on Ployperformance kit: CO2KIT-5.
Or should I invest in a quality air compressor?
