One press - All the doors

Hi! Today it's one of the happiest days since I bought the FJ.

I was finally able to program the ECU to open all the doors with a single click. I have bought a J2534 interface (I do not want to publicize the place I have bought from because I am dissatisfied with their customer service: they charge shipment even for local pick-up) and "installed" the Toyota Techstream software. Doing so it's possible to access a number of parameters of the FJ and customize them.

The satisfaction to have done this without giving money to the dealer is great and totally worth the amount of money and time I've spent.

If anybody wants to do the same, just let me know.

I am up for this! The double bump is a pain. It sure would make the wife happy as I don't seam to double bump fast enough. Hey, we could go shopping together again!

The only problem at SnT is that... I should bring the laptop and I normally avoid that when going offroad... On the other hand if you drive by Redwood Shores just let me know in advance we can meet at my office and do the whole thing right away...

Can you switch of the sound when unlocking/locking the doors ?

yes. In fact, you can set the volume. I reduced (but not eliminated, personal preference) mine. You can also disable the fact that it beeps when you "lock" the doors with the remote when a door is still open.

I'm pretty sure you can do that without the J2534. Maybe check the manual, I can't remember off hand how I did it.

Everybody interested!!! I must leave on a business trip and I will be back in a couple of weeks. I need to postpone everything!!! Sorry about that but I was informed of this trip less than 24 hours ago and I had to rush to organize everything...
