So I currently have bilstein 5100s all the way around. I put med ome in the rear already. My front has stock springs. I am getting a lot of sag in the front. I bought these from rangerjim and they had spacers with them. If I lower my 5100 spring seat back to stock, do I use the spacer, or just use the middle seat groove?

I know the 5100s with the spacers+ OME springs won't work - I had to jump up to the OMEs from my 5100s. My guess is that without the spacer you would probably be ok with the 5100s but I would ask ARB....or wait until other chime in here.

Something doesnt make sense to me.
If the 5100s provide 2.5 inches of lift by raising the seat, then you are extending the shaft of the shock 2.5 inches. If you lower the seat back to stock, and use a ome spring, you are also extending the shaft 2.5 inches because the spring is 2.5 inches taller (well including spring strength and such). Correct? Don't you add a spacer on top of the whole strut assembly? Why is this an issue?
Please help me understand and check my numbers. Thanks.

Installed the OME Mediums in the front. OMG what was I missing. Left the spacers out. Good idea.

Thanks for the advice Esty. It got me really thinking about the math. I think if I had installed them, my A-Arms would be very close to rubbing the springs.

:)

Glad they went in well! Let us know how the combo works out on the trail!

Looks like I'm a little late to reply but i have the 5100 front shocks and the OME 885 springs on the front and they work out real well you just have to have the 5100's on their lowest setting.

Thanks Max!

Hey Scott,

I have the Bilstein 5100 shocks only, with OME 886's in the front and OME 895's in the rear.

I LOVE the ride. I would swap out the rears to 896's if I could find a cheap set just to firm it up a little more, but it is not necessary. It did really well in Death Valley this weekend.

Yes, a 33 should fit. I am running 285/70/17's which are 33" tall, but skinnier.

Thanks Scott.

This is the kit I bought. I then replaced the rear spacer with springs which I got from the guys here used!
