I'm leaning towards ordering amsoil, and then doing the oil change myself ( actually ... I'll need help .. LOL ) ...

But has anyone used Amsoil? like it? Prefer something else? Any input would be great.  Thanks!

I use it my Harley but in the FJ I stay with 5W-30 Castrol.

I thought the FJ was 0W-20 oil only?

Mine is a 2007. I've seen only 5w-30 as the recommended weight.

Oh, my bad. Probably 2010+ is 0w.

I am on my second round of Amsoil.  That covers the last 30,000 miles.  My truck is super happy with Amsoil : )   I also run Amsoil in my diffs and tranny.

Cowboy - sae 5w-30 max performance? Amsoil oil filter as well? I'm due .. so I'm wanting to order & get it changed. Do you order yours online, or buy from local dealer?

Ping "RJAmsoil" on here.  He is a local dealer.  By local,  I mean San Ramon area.   I use the Max performance 5w-30 and the Amsoil filter.   The standard filter has a 15,000 mile life.   When I get my next one I am going for the Higher capasity filter.

I'll hit him up. Uh ... I'd need help, if you're game? I'd roll down your way ... you help me out, I'll fit the bill in beers & grub.

i use Mobil 1 due to its availability

What year do you have? (for filter location)    If I am available the process shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.  It's hecka easy.

2007.

I'm automotively challenged. LOL

 What is your time frame?
