read the .pdf attachment and the Cal4WD link and act before May 23, 2011.
remember, this is not just a temporary closure that is already in place a few months out of the year, this will be permanent and across a significant portion of the park.
thanks to CentralCalFJ of Step Cal FJs for bringing this to our attention.

We all need to act on this information, send a letter out today and help save our off road use of public land. Every one of us should put this up on Facebook and any other forum we belong to. The Plover issue has been going on for a long time and we have lost a lot of local beach access because of it. Once the areas have limited use, violations help to close them completely. SEND A LETTER! Your local off road area could be next!
This is the link to the blue room, please bump it for the next couple days and lets get some national help.

This is a form letter and takes only your signature and mailing it.
apparently there is a notion out there that politicians and public agencies don't care about public opinion. i beg to differ. if that were the case, Rubicon Trail would have been closed years ago along with hundreds, perhaps thousands, of miles of trails had some of us and many other NorCal clubs not voiced our opinion at various hearings and public comment periods.
also, i led a group back in college that successfully pushed back fee hikes through a series of letter writing campaigns targeted at swing votes and scheduled meetings with assembly folks in Suckramento. sure, it took a lot of effort, but we made a difference. and that is why becoming involved is important and why we need your help.
