I'm not sure if my 4wd is engaging. Before I re-geared I knew it was engaging because it was hard to steer from left to right. Now when I put it in 4hi and try to steer is seems real easy to steer and turn, that's not how it use to feel prior to re-gearing. The VSC and 4 wheel drive indicator still come on, when I put it in 4lo it is definitely in low gear but still feels easy to steer. ATrac and rear diff lock lights still come on. Is this normal after a re-gear? Has anyone run into this problem? Should I just take it to the dealership to make sure everything is working properly?

Put it on really loose dirt and slam down the gas while someone else watches (or you record with a camera). You can see if all four wheels shoot dirt or just the rears. (For AT, MT might be different)
I live in San Jose and I don't know any places around here to try that without attracting attention, might have to go to hollister.

Put the car in 4lo or 4hi,Turn off engine.

Jack the front end up,put on jack stands and try to spin the tires by hand.

When in 4lo or 4hi one tire will not spin.
