Yeah, he is one of 5150Cruiser's buddy's from when they both worked at Dublin Toyota, and he is the guy who got us the 20% off discount at One Toyota of Oakland for parts!

For tires --  Also do suspension, but I haven't done anything with them regards to suspension.

They did my tires (I got Nitto Terra Grapplers), mounting, balancing, and alignment.  Tire rotations, inspection and leak repairs are part of the package. Great small owner feel.

X2 on Five Points.  My father and I have always gone to them for tires, mounting, and balancing!  I'm going there tomorrow to get a quote on some new tires!

Cool in Redwood city no doubt thats really close to me. I usually go to Les Schwab I like the guys there all cool and do a good job at a low price.

Gary Kardum

Gary does most everything mechanical, and has been specializing in "overland outfitting", doing numerous complete installs and preps for long term travelers.

I met Gary back in '97 when I first bought my FJ40. He did the majority of the work on it, Spring over, tranny conversion, tranny rebuild, frame repairs, fabrication, etc.

He's an ARB dealer, has done numerous OME lift installs for FJs around here. He's the US distribution point for Autohome tents. He's also a Baja Rack dealer. He usually has at least two ARB fridges in stock.

I'm a customer, he's a good friend, we do at least two week long trips together each year (Death Valley, Moab, Rubicon), and he's well known in the Toyota Off Road community.

I have heard nothing but GREAT things about Gary. Although, I have never met him, his reputation in the Land Cruiser community is great! I have heard stories about him being swamped with work and still making time to get one more cruiser one the lift for someone who was leaving on a trip the next day! I am also told his shop can have lots of cool cruiser to check out and you can almost make a entire day out of looking at what he has at his shop being worked on.

Very true on all parts. The interesting thing to note is the number of out of state vehicles at his shop. There are many people who will ship their vehicle out to him to do various mods, from Spring Overs to full frame replacements, to complete overland outfitting. It's worth a stop by when you're in Sonoma. He's open on Saturdays.

Yep, I met Gary when I bought my RTT. He is a heck of a nice guy and very knowledgeable about all LC. His shop has tons of cool Land Cruisers, felt like a kid in a candy store wandering around checking out the rigs.

When I picked up the tent, a French couple showed up in their 70 series picked with a camper on the back.

They were traveling around the world in this camper and heard about Gary and came by for a service. It is unusual but I wouldn't mind having a 70 series diesel pickup.

You can also see the 40s, 60s, and 80s in the background.
